EU Commissioner: Agreement reached with Azerbaijani President to strengthen trade links with the South Caucasus

An agreement has been reached to strengthen trade ties between Europe and the South Caucasus, Marta Kos, European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, said in a post on “X” regarding her meeting with President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Davos on January 21, APA reports.

"I met with President Aliyev of Azerbaijan. We discussed the EU’s support for the implementation of the peace agreement with Armenia. We agreed to step up work on stronger trade links between Europe and the South Caucasus," EU Commissioner said.

Note that President Ilham Aliyev of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in Davos on January 21.
