A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, Margus Tsahkna, the Azerbaijan MFA told APA.
During the phone call, current issues on the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Estonia, as well as regional and global matters, were discussed.
It was noted with satisfaction that the political dialogue and mutual visits between the two countries have intensified. The importance of mutual support within international platforms was emphasized, and cooperation relations were reviewed within this context.
During the conversation, Minister Margus Tsahkna informed that a formal decision has been made to open Estonia’s embassy in Azerbaijan in 2026. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, in turn, welcomed this step, stressing that it would give additional momentum to relations between the two countries.
In addition, an exchange of views took place on other bilateral and regional issues.
