"December 12 marked the 19th anniversary of the death of the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. On this occasion, we commemorate the late Heydar Aliyev, may his soul rest in peace!" said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his speech at the Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Turkmenistan Summit held in Avaza, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
He also noted that the liberation of Azerbaijani lands, which had been under occupation for 30 years, is proof of the success of the work done.
"I am sure we will succeed in every matter if we join forces and stand in solidarity. The most recent example of this is the Patriotic War, which ended the 30-year occupation of Karabakh. The Organization of Turkic States is extremely important in this regard," Erdogan said.
