Emin Huseynov: "We showed the UN Deputy Secretary General clear examples of urbicides in Aghdam"

Today, we showed the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Executive Director of the United Nations Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) Maimunah Mohd Sharif, and her accompanying delegation clear examples of urbicide in Aghdam said Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories of the Karabakh economic region (except Shusha region), Emin Huseynov, APA reports.

"During this visit, we also acquainted them with the reconstruction work carried out in Agdam and other liberated areas and explained the approach of the Government of Azerbaijan to this recovery process and the principle of governance. We also exchanged views on issues that these organizations can benefit from the experience of Azerbaijan. I hope that this visit of the guests will be useful for them. Of course, the facts of vandalism committed in these lands for 30 years are undeniable. But at the same time, we must look to the future. Under the leadership of Mr. President, our country will build beautiful cities, villages, and settlements in these lands, the purpose of which is to return our citizens to their ancestral lands as soon as possible. "Our goal is to bring life back to Karabakh, as the process has already begun and international organizations are witnessing it," Huseynov said.
