The first regional cooperation meeting called "3 + 3" format was held in Moscow, APA reports quoting the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan.
Alireza Haghighian, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director General of Eurasia, who represented Iran at the meeting, spoke about regional cooperation, especially in economic, trade, transport, transit and other fields. Supporting cooperation in the "3 + 3" format, he said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the initiators of the formation of the "3 + 3" format.
Haghighian added that this format is in line with Iran's regional policy, which is based on the resolution of intra-regional problems, challenges and disputes by countries in the region.
He praised regional cooperation, especially in trade, economy, transport and transit, as an important contribution to the development and prosperity of the region, as well as lasting peace and stability in the region.
Haghighian supported cooperation in the format mentioned at the meeting.
The Georgian representative did not attend the meeting.
