Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov, who took part in the meeting of the EU-Azerbaijan Cooperation Council, answered questions of Armenian journalists on the plane when he flew from Brussels to Moscow to attend a meeting of the Council of Ministers Foreign Affairs of CIS countries, ONA reports.
To the question: “Why are you talking about peace but your activities shows the opposite?”, he answered: “Answer is simple. The territories of my country are occupied by Armenian soldiers. Why Armenian soldiers serve in Azerbaijani territory?”
Then Armenian journalist claimed that Nagorno Karabakh was an Armenian territory.
“Then why its name is Karabakh? This is Azerbaijani word and this means “черный сад” (Black garden) in the Russian language”, the minister explained.
