"Direct contacts between Azerbaijan and Armenia are a priority," Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a trilateral meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Sochi, APA's Russia bureau reports.
"I know that you are scheduled to meet in Brussels in the near future. We welcome that as well. The more opportunities for direct contact, the better. I spoke with Mr. Michel, President of the European Council. He is waiting for you. But I hope we will take a few steps forward. After that, you can take other steps in other areas. I repeat that we welcome the increase of partners in this dialogue. The main thing is to benefit from this work," Putin said.
