"Dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia is essential," said Thórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörd Gylfadóttir, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland, while answering the questions of parliamentarians during the PACE spring session today, APA's European bureau reports.
She noted that by becoming members of the Council of Europe, Armenia and Azerbaijan undertook to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.
The minister said that both countries should act according to their obligations and refrain from provocations.
She also noted that the dialogue between the two countries is the basis for preventing the situation from worsening.
