"According to the memorandum between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the establishment of new communications between the East Zangazur economic region of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan via Iran, two road bridges will be built from the East Zangazur economic region of Azerbaijan and Iran to Nakhchivan," Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev told journalists, APA reports.

Shahin Mustafayev noted that one of these bridges will be built by Azerbaijan and the other by Iran. Thus, the road connecting Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan will be about 50-55 km. After a distance of 50-55 km, the passage of Azerbaijanis to Nakhchivan will be provided. At the same time, we believe that this road will have not only local purposes, but also great transit opportunities.

This road will turn left from Agband as a branch of the Zangazur corridor, a bridge will be built over the Araz River and after about 50 km it will reach the territory of Azerbaijan, ie Nakhchivan, in the direction of Kotan village of Ordubad region. This will be determined more precisely within a month. There will be about 50-55 km of road to Nakhchivan.
