"We were able to support our partners and friends to have a dialogue. Our goal in this process is, first of all, that our friendly and neighboring countries get concrete results as a result of these negotiations," Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili said in his statement to Georgian Public Television, APA's local bureau reports.

The minister said that the main goal is to strengthen peace and security in the region - South Caucasus through joint coordination and very close communication.

Ilia Darchiashvili called it important for the region at a time when the security architecture in the world is facing problems.

In response to the question about whether this meeting ended with a concrete result, the head of the MFA said that a concrete result is not always achieved against the background of only one round of international negotiations, and a similar situation happened today:

"However, the most important thing here is that a precedent was created and we started a direct dialogue between the two neighboring countries. They presented to each other all the priority issues on the agenda that interested them and the solution of which was of particular importance. I am sure that thanks to this meeting, a very solid foundation was created for the continuation of negotiations", said Ilia Darchiashvili.

The chief diplomat of Georgia emphasized that Tbilisi will be ready to receive the representatives of the two neighboring countries in the future and to help solve specific issues on their agenda.
