Council of Europe Secretary General discusses Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process with Pashinyan

The Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, met with the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, in Yerevan, Berset said in a social media post, APA reports.

He said that the situation in the region was discussed during the meeting:

"We discussed Armenia's path of democratic reforms and issues of stability in the region," he noted.

The Secretary General also emphasized that the importance of lasting peace with Azerbaijan was also the focus of the meeting.
