The situation in Kharkiv city, Ukraine remains tense. Based on the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country honorary consulate continues its activity for supporting our compatriots, the Honorary Consulate of Azerbaijan in Kharkiv told APA.
It was said that since morning today, more than 100 of our compatriots were evacuated from Kharkiv.
“As a result of a shell explosion in the village of Cherkaskie Tishki, 5 km from Kharkiv, Emin Mahmudov, a Ukrainian citizen of Azerbaijani origin, his wife Lyudmila Mahmudova and her mother-in-law died. Their two surviving children are currently under the care of relatives.
The battle around Cherkaskie Tishki village makes evacuation impossible. Azerbaijan’s consulate regularly contacts the village administration and is interested in the situation of children.
Works are underway for the safe evacuation of our compatriots,” it was noted.
