A trilateral meeting between the transport ministers of Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Armenia may be organized if Azerbaijan gives its approval.
Türkiye’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, stated this in an interview with APA’s Türkiye bureau.
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu emphasized that holding a trilateral meeting depends entirely on Azerbaijan’s position: “We frequently meet with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Rashad Nabiyev. We have also held several meetings with Armenia’s transport minister. A trilateral meeting is only possible with Azerbaijan’s consent. If consent is given, we are fully ready for it, because Azerbaijan’s position is of great importance to us.”
The minister added that preparations for the Zangezur Corridor are at an advanced level and extensive coordinated work has been carried out with Azerbaijan:
“Once the peace process is fully implemented, we have already planned in advance what needs to be done. We have all the necessary preparations. We have many projects that we successfully implemented together in the past, so there will be no need to redo them.”
