The event titled “Chile Film Program–2025” was held in Baku, APA reports.

The event took place at the “Creative Center,” operating under the Ministry of Culture.

Among the participants were Spanish-language teachers, university students, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other individuals.

First, guests were informed about the activity areas of the “Creative Center” and the work it has carried out so far.

It was noted that over the past two years, 700 people engaged in activities at the “Creative Center” have been awarded certificates, and it is planned to increase this number to 1,000 next year.

It was also emphasized that “Startup Centers” operate within the center, providing young people with opportunities to bring their projects to life.

Additionally, it was mentioned that today’s “Chile Film Program 2025” is the first joint event organized with a foreign country within the framework of the center’s international cooperation.

Juan Salazar Alvarez, the Chargé d’Affaires of Chile’s Embassy in Azerbaijan, stated in his speech that Azerbaijan and Chile share many common features.

“Chile and Azerbaijan share the same values. We want to deepen the development of both countries and our cooperation on the path to achieving this development,” the chargé d’affaires said.

Then, Chilean film director Tomas Welss joined the program via live connection and shared his experiences in the field of filmmaking.

After that, various short animated films were screened.

In the end, the director from Chile answered the participants’ questions and exchanged views with them on film and animation fields.
