The head of the State Security Service of Georgia (SSG), Mamuka Mdinaradze, received the Chief of State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Ali Naghiyev, who is on an official visit in Tbilisi, APA reports, citing the State Security Service of Georgia.
According to the information, during the meeting, the parties discussed the strategic partnership relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan, as well as future initiatives aimed at further deepening cooperation in the field of security.
The parties emphasized the importance of intensifying information and experience exchange. It was noted that strong cooperation between the security agencies of the two countries makes a significant contribution both to the development of bilateral relations and to the maintenance of peace and stability in the region. During the meeting, the processes taking place in the region and existing problems were also in focus.
Mamuka Mdinaradze expressed his gratitude to Ali Naghiyev for his visit to Georgia and noted the significance of this visit in terms of cooperation between the institutions of the two states.
The meeting held at the Georgian State Security Service was also attended by the deputies of the heads of the security agencies of both countries and the heads of their structural units.
After the meeting, Mamuka Mdinaradze and Ali Naghiyev laid a wreath in front of the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the monument erected in memory of the heroes who died for the territorial integrity of Georgia.
