The strategic cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan is causing concern among certain circles, said the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) of Türkiye, Devlet Bahçeli, during his party’s meeting, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.

The MHP leader noted that those who seek to cast a shadow over the deep brotherly relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan — the two shining states of the Turkic world — will never achieve their goals.

Touching upon the Azerbaijan–Armenia peace process, Bahçeli stated that the declaration signed in Washington on August 8 will give an important impetus to this process.

The party chairman also highly appreciated the determination and heroism demonstrated by Azerbaijan during the Patriotic War, calling the liberation of Karabakh from occupation a historic victory. He emphasized his belief that the steps taken in the peace process will yield positive results.

Devlet Bahçeli also sincerely congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of “Victory Day” and “Flag Day.”
