We are concerned about the 'presidential elections' in the fabricated regime created by Armenia in Azerbaijan's Karabakh region. These 'elections' contradict the statements of the Armenian leadership regarding the support for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, Rosen Jelyazkov, stated during the meeting with Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.

He emphasized that in the world order established after 1945, the principle of territorial integrity plays a crucial role. Violation of this principle leads to the emergence of conflicts that cannot be easily resolved. The Speaker stated that although Azerbaijan and Bulgaria are located in geographically distant regions, similar events have occurred in these regions. The current situation demands not just declarations, but the signing of an agreement that will ensure long-term peace. Actions should align with the voiced statements. He reiterated his country's support for Azerbaijan's peace plan and expressed hope that negotiations facilitated by mediators will lead to a prompt peace agreement.
