Based on a survey, the Center for Social Research studied the expectations regarding Türkiye's policy on the Karabakh issue and towards Azerbaijan after the elections in Türkiye, APA reports.

At today's press conference, Chairman of the Board of the Center for Social Research Zahid Oruj said that the public shared the position that Turkish-Azerbaijani relations are currently experiencing a historical turning point.

Thus, 68.7% of respondents said that if Recep Tayyip Erdogan wins the elections, Türkiye will continue to support Azerbaijan. 26.0% of the survey participants noted that no matter which candidate wins, Türkiye will always be close to Azerbaijan.

The results show that the Azerbaijani public believes that the stability or change in Türkiye's foreign policy and its principled position in relation to regional goals will be determined depending on the election results.

In general, it should be noted that some experts also consider the possible foreign policy course that a multi-actor opposition can pursue as risky. It is believed that this will be a threat not only to Turkey's policy towards Azerbaijan but the region as a whole, the Middle East, the Turkic-Islamic world and Russia.
