"Us Muslims are aware of what is happening. In this regard, we should get to the root of the issue and take steps in the direction of its solution," author of a monograph on Islamophobia, British expert Mohammed Sadek Hamid said during a panel discussion at the international scientific conference on “Embracing Diversity: Tackling Islamophobia in 2024”, APA reports.
"Islamophobia is both a social and a global challenge. This has become an ordinary form of political discourse. Muslims are under severe pressure and pain as a result of this. We are witnessing hate speech against Muslims, this has become more widespread in recent years. This shouldn't be happening in Europe. I am very sorry for that," he added.
