"We have working plans regarding the demining process in the territories, which were liberated, since 2020. None of the 700 activities of that working plan does include the participation of the women," said British Ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp at a conference on "Women, Peace, and security: the role of women in post-conflict reconstruction" jointly organized by the Center for International Relations Analysis and the UN Office in Azerbaijan.
The British Ambassador to Azerbaijan proposed the participation of the women in the demining process: “Maybe the legislation can be changed in this regard. Budgets considering gender issues should be defined. For example, women can be involved in the activity of mobile medical services in these areas. The participation of communities should also be defined in the decision-making process.
