British ambassador: "People are already in Kalbajar, they use these lands"

"Kalbahar is one of the amazing regions of Azerbaijan. It is really beautiful," said the UK ambassador to Azerbaijan James Sharp to journalists in Kalbajar, APA reports.

"I also saw small horned animals, cows. It means that people are already here, they use these lands. At the same time, I can mention the infrastructure, roads, and power lines. It is impressive that this infrastructure has been constructed in a short period of time. We also viewed the tunnel. I think that this tunnel is very important. This tunnel connects Kalbajar to Azerbaijan's other parts," said the diplomat.

The ambassador also touched upon the demining process and added that Britain has given support to Azerbaijan in this issue in a short period "As you know, mine issue is large. This is also related to conducting awareness campaigns. We have given financial support to UNICEF. Campaigns were carried out in Barda, Tartar, Fuzuli, Horadiz, and other regions. We have also given support to ANAMA through UNDP. British experts shared their experiences here. All of these processes continue".
