Georgia welcomes the peace declaration signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington on August 8, said Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili after her meeting with her Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan, APA’s local bureau reports.
She stated that the historic document is an important step towards establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus.
“The document opens new opportunities for the region’s sustainable and stable development. Georgia has always played an important role in ensuring the region’s stable and peaceful development and will continue to contribute to strengthening regional cooperation,” Bochorishvili added.
