Natalya Kochanova, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, and the delegation of the legislative body, who are on an official visit to Azerbaijan, have visited the grave of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, APA reports.
The delegation first paid tribute to the National Leader, architect, and founder of the modern and independent Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev, and laid a wreath at his grave.
They also placed flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
The Belarusian delegation also visited the grave of the People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR, Muslim Magomayev.
The delegation then commemorated the Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity. They also laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
