Baku has finally decided to put an end to this issue - Russian political expert

"Azerbaijan's decision to conduct an anti-terrorist operation in Garabagh was expected. Because the official Baku ran out of patience," Russian military-political analyst Yevgeny Mikhailov said in an interview with APA.

According to him, Azerbaijan decided to conduct a special military operation, an anti-terrorist operation in Garabagh: "This was expected. Because the illegal Armenian armed groups in Yerevan and Garabagh regularly resorted to provocations in the region, on the border of the two countries. Today, a terrorist attack was carried out against the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Khojavand region of Azerbaijan. This event was the last straw in the official Baku's cup of patience. I believe that Armenia is provoked to all this by its western allies. Azerbaijan warned the Russian side about its anti-terrorist operation. Most likely, the Azerbaijani side is negotiating with the peacekeeping contingent. These agreements are related to ensuring the safety of peaceful Armenian residents of Karabakh. The Azerbaijani side is only attacking the military infrastructure. Baku has finally decided to put an end to this issue. Although Armenia signed the tripartite agreement in 2020, it has not actually implemented them. Yerevan has made every effort to attract third players to the region and to discredit the activities of Russia and its peacekeeping contingent. By conducting joint military exercises with the Americans, Yerevan proved who its ally is. This does not satisfy Moscow, Baku, or Tehran."
