Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has appealed to citizens and the media, ONA reports.
The appeal reads:
“According to the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the Ministry of Defense periodically holds events to strengthen ties between the army and the people, as well as to familiarize members of the public with the work carried out in military units and parents with the conditions of military service of their children.”
“Our people perceive all this work with great admiration. However, after visits of representatives of various public and non-governmental organizations to military units, in particular, to foremost units, some citizens share pictures taken by mobile phones and cameras via social networks and also write various comments.”
“Thus, it is violating the relevant requirements of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on State Secrets and creates an opportunity for the enemy to get information about our Army. The Ministry of Defense stresses that such cases are unacceptable for security purposes.”
