Azerbaijan's newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan, Rashad Mammadov, has presented his credentials to President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Mammadov said in a post on his X social media account, APA reports.
The ambassador said that by presenting his credentials, he had officially begun his diplomatic mission as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the dynamic development of the strategic partnership and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, which are based on a high level of mutual trust. The sides emphasized the importance of further expanding cooperation in the economy, investment, transport, logistics, and other priority areas in line with the strategic course set by the two heads of state.
The parties also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in order to further develop relations between the two brotherly countries and implement new joint initiatives.
