Azerbaijani, Ukrainian FMs mull regional and international security issues-UPDATED

On June 21, 2023, Minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba within the framework of his working visit to the United Kingdom, APA reports citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The meeting discussed the current issues on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries, the situation in Ukraine, and post-conflict efforts in our region.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that over the years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, significant achievements have been achieved in the direction of expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including political, economic, cultural, humanitarian, etc. The minister noted that Azerbaijan, which has always supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, will continue to provide humanitarian assistance in connection with the crisis around Ukraine.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also informed the other side in detail about the current situation in the region, Azerbaijan's peace and construction efforts in the post-conflict period, the steps taken to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the current challenges.

Minister Dmytro Kuleba expressed satisfaction with bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, emphasizing the role of intensive contact between the leaders of the two countries in this direction. The humanitarian aid provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine was noted with satisfaction and gratitude.

The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba on the sidelines of his working visit to the United Kingdom, according to a tweet from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, APA reports.

"On the sidelines of his working visit to the United Kingdom, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov meets with Dmytro Kuleba, Foreign Minister of Ukraine to discuss cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan-Ukraine, regional and international security issues of mutual interest," the Ministry said.
