“Armenia has not yet withdrawn its 10,000 soldiers from Garabagh, the sovereign territory of Azerbaijan," Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for special assignments Elchin Amirbayov said in his interview with Deutsche Welle, APA reports.
Elchin Amirbayov noted that behaving like that Armenia has not fulfilled a number of articles of the November 10 statement.
"Azerbaijan is doing its utmost to participate in peace talks. Unfortunately, Armenia has not fulfilled a number of provisions of the trilateral statement signed in November 2020. They have not yet withdrawn approximately 10,000 soldiers of the Armenian armed forces from Garabagh, the internationally recognized sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, where they have 30 tanks, 50 artillery pieces and other heavy equipment. They still continue to plant mines in our areas. We already have over 200 civilian casualties since the signing of the trilateral statement. They refused to provide accurate mine maps, which we now need to protect the lives of the people who are demining those areas. They do not disclose information about the mass graves of the murdered people. All these are war crimes committed by them. We don't want to go into too much detail right now - these are ongoing legal proceedings,” Elchin Amirbayov added.
