Under the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov contacted the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, in connection with the crash of a Turkish Air Force cargo aircraft in the territory of Georgia, APA reports.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov stated that Azerbaijan is ready to provide all necessary assistance in eliminating the consequences of the crash, conducting search and rescue operations, sending a relevant team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the area, and taking other necessary support measures.
The Georgian side expressed its gratitude for this support and noted that representatives of the relevant Georgian agencies are currently working at the site. During the conversation, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport are in contact with their Georgian counterparts.
The parties agreed to continue contacts in connection with the tragedy.
