On October 30, Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with the Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, Saqr Ghobash, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
During the meeting, it was noted that thanks to the joint efforts of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the relations between the two countries have demonstrated a high dynamic of development.
It was stated that with the signing of the “Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates” in September of this year, Azerbaijan-UAE relations have entered a new stage.
The importance of continuing effective cooperation and mutual support between the two countries within international organizations was emphasized.
Referring to inter-parliamentary relations, it was noted that mutual visits at the parliamentary level and the friendship groups operating in the legislative bodies of both countries play an important role in strengthening comprehensive cooperation.
The meeting also discussed prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE in trade and economic, investment, renewable energy, oil and gas, information technology, artificial intelligence, and other areas.
