"People of Azerbaijan highly evaluate Pakistan's moral support during the 44-day Patriotic War," said Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan Vugar Mustafayev at an event dedicated to the National Day of Pakistan, APA reports.
Delivering a speech as an honored guest, Vugar Mustafayev has touched upon history of relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
He has noted that Pakistan was the one of countries that first recognized Azerbaijan's independence.
"Pakistan has always supported Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity and always condemned Armenia's aggression. Pakistan has not recognized invader Armenia, not made diplomatic relations with the country," emphasized Azerbaijani Minister.
Minister of Defense Industry has added that trade turnover between the two countries is increasing.
"I am sure that strengthening our cooperation will serve welfare of our peoples," stressed Vugar Mustafayev.
