“President Ilham Aliyev stressed in his speech at the Congress that Azerbaijan liberated our lands which were under occupation for nearly 30 years, with its own strength. Azerbaijanis will always live in these lands,” said the head of the Turkish-Azerbaijani interparliamentary friendship group Shamil Ayrim at V Congress of World Azerbaijanis in Shusha, APA reports.
According to Sh. Ayrim, Azerbaijani people have never reconciled with the occupation: “Turkiye always stood by Azerbaijan. Turkiye also stood by Azerbaijan, while Azerbaijan liberated its lands from the occupation. I have today brought greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to this congress. May our fraternity be eternal.”
