Unfortunately, Armenia still does not stop its infamous deeds, said Mushfig Jafarov, Member of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) in an interview with APA.
The deputy said that illegal Armenian military troops in Karabakh engaged in subterranean mine-burying on Azerbaijani territory injured three of our servicemen: "This incident is directly attributable to Armenian authorities. Following the war, a huge number of mines manufactured in Armenia after 2020 were discovered on Azerbaijani territory. The entire world is aware that as a result of these mines, civilians, and journalists performing their professional tasks, in addition to military personnel, lost their lives. In general, mining policy is one of the main indicators of Armenian terrorism. Even in 2020, when Armenians left Agdam, Kalbajar and Lachin regions, they buried more mines in those areas. Since November 10, 2020, hundreds of people have been killed or injured in various degrees as a result of mine terrorism."
Mushfig Jafarov noted that it is the result of Armenia's dirty "games" that despite the fact that our territories were liberated as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War, the laying of landmines in broad regions makes up an important obstacle to the safe return of IDPs to their homes: Azerbaijan's government pays great attention to demining. Armenian authorities continue to use mine terrorism against the Azerbaijani people. On the one hand, we are clearing the mines; on the other hand, they are busy planting mines wherever they can. The relevant institutions are continuously working towards the elimination of unpleasant situations that may occur - the detection and neutralization of mines. Both local and international experts strongly condemn Armenia's mine terrorism. However, international organizations, parliaments of individual countries, and institutions dealing with the protection of human rights also should not be apathetic to the mine terrorism that is being carried out against Azerbaijan. Relevant institutions and organizations should call and pressure Armenia on this issue, these crimes should be prevented as soon as possible."
