"While delivering a speech at the governmental meeting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's holding Azerbaijan responsible for the recent provocation in the direction of Lachin, accusing Azerbaijan of violating the commitments it undertook within the framework of the Prague and Sochi meetings, is completely groundless and unacceptable," noted in the commentary of Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Aykhan Hajizadeh on the claims voiced by Pashinyan on April 13 at the governmental meeting, APA reports.

"Referring to the statement of the European Union the day before, the Prime Minister's repetition of the idea of using the 1991 borderline as a basis for delimitation contains a number of biased points. Thus, we would like to remind the Prime Minister of Armenia that as a result of the occupation policy launched by Armenia against Azerbaijan, the villages of Kerki and Baganis Ayrim were occupied by Armenia in 1990. At the same time, it is known that, contrary to the Trilateral statement, Armenia still does not withdraw the Armenian armed forces from the territories of Azerbaijan and keeps 8 Azerbaijani villages under occupation. In this regard, the Prime Minister should firstly clarify taht what is meant by 1991 borders," said Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
