"Azerbaijan's position on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia is clear and consistent, " the Foreign Ministry's press service told APA.
The statement is reflected in the comment of the Foreign Ministry regarding the statement of the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Azerbaijan's proposals on normalization of relations between the two countries.
"We do not need to repeat our position which we have repeatedly stated.
Considering the importance of normalization of relations between the two countries after the conflict and peace-building issues in the region, Azerbaijan has put forward proposals in this regard and is ready to move forward in this direction.
"If Armenia also takes the issue seriously, then it must present its concrete proposals and thus demonstrate readiness to start substantive and result-oriented negotiations."
