"It is interesting that for what reason Armenia waited for 30 years for the provision of any information on about 4000 Azerbaijanis, missing from the First Armenian-Azerbaijani war," said Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Leyla Abdullayeva, APA reports.
"Although any statement has not been released in this regard by the Armenian government yet, certainly, detection of massive cemeteries of Azerbaijan in liberated territories and presentation of proofs to the international community are among reasons for giving remains of in total 108 people from thousands of missing Azerbaijanis after 30 years.
We would like to remind that Azerbaijan immediately after the 44-day war, without expecting anything in return, although Armenia has not yet provided any information about the thousands of Azerbaijanis who went missing from the first Armenian-Azerbaijani war, has delivered the bodies of more than 1700 Armenian servicemen to opposing side based on principles of humanism.
Note that the Azerbaijani side keeps the issue of missing people on the agenda as a priority and will not allow the Armenian side which is directly responsible for the identification of more than 3,700 Azerbaijanis, including the location of mass graves, to remain silent for another 30 years,” stressed MFA Official.
