Azerbaijani MFA: Armenia is not interested in the delimitation of borders, but deliberately aggravates the situation

“Recently, it is observed that Armenia deliberately commit provocations. This is another military adventure of the Armenian leadership, reads the information of Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Thus, illegal visit of former Armenian defense minister to the territory of Azerbaijan temporarily controlled by the Russian peacekeepers and holding military consultations here, gathering of about 60 personnel of the Armenian Armed forces on the road leading to positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Lachin region, as well as intensive shelling of Azerbaijani Army positions in Kalbajar and Lachin regions by Armenian armed forces show that the Armenian side purposefully tense the situation. All of these show that Armenia is not interested in the provision of peace and security in the region, as well as in the delimitation of the borders. We emphasize that tension in the region is another military-politic provocation of Armenia. Responsibility due to the existing tension directly falls on the Armenian military-political leadership", noted.
