Azerbaijani FM: "We hope that it will be easy for Armenia to adopt new document that we submit"

"Nagorno-Karabakh has been one of the long-term conflicts," said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in the panel discussions at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, APA reports.

According to him, negotiations for almost 30 years have yielded no results.

The Minister noted that the Azerbaijani Army liberated the lands as a result of the 44-day war.

Jeyhun Bayramov stressed the importance of the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

"Look, we have good and strategic relations with neighboring Georgia. The President of Azerbaijan has repeatedly stated that we are ready to work on a peace agreement with Armenia. We have put forward proposals to sign a more simplified base document. We hope that it will be easier for Armenia to accept, and this will be an important step towards normalization."

The Foreign Minister noted that Azerbaijan also offered to open communications.
