On June 20 Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov attended Caspian Connectivity Conference organized by Caspian Policy Center, within the framework of his working visit to the United Kingdom, Azerbaijani MFA told APA.
In his speech, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke about the irreplaceable opportunities created by the Caspian region, which has an exceptional geographical location.
Stating that in general during 2022, transit through Azerbaijan increased by 75%, minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed confidence about the opening of the communications will further contribute to lasting peace and stability in our region, and significantly increase trade and transport.
In this sense, he spoke about the importance of the Zangezur Corridor, which is an initiative that has come to the fore and has the potential to further increase connectivity within the Middle Corridor. Despite the attempts, difficulties caused by Armenia for the opening of communications were brought to attention.
