Azerbaijani FM received non-resident ambassador of Bangladesh

On November 12, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the non-resident Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to Azerbaijan, Amanul Haq, the Azerbaijan MFA told APA.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the current state and development prospects of bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Bangladesh.

The parties emphasized that the relations based on friendship and mutual respect are developing between the two countries, and that mutual support within the framework of international organizations, especially the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and D-8, is a source of satisfaction. In particular, it was noted that there is a wide potential for the development of cooperation in the economic, trade, energy, education, and cultural fields.

The leaders' level contacts and the participation of the Head of the Transitional Government of Bangladesh, Senior Advisor Muhammad Yunus, in COP29 were noted with satisfaction.

It was emphasized that there are broad prospects for cooperation within the framework of the Summits of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, which will be held in our country next year, as well as the UN World Urban Forum.

The parties also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, including increasing high-level contacts and deepening cooperation on international platforms.
