On May 12, 2022, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov in Dushanbe, as part of the participation in the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
The ministers discussed the issues of the development of relations between the two countries in various directions.
Exchanging views on the current situation in the region, the sides reiterated the importance of full implementation of trilateral statements signed to ensure peace and security in the region. The importance of taking steps to normalization of the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia was stressed.
The sides also exchanged views on issues included in the regional and international security agenda.
