Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the European Commission within the framework of his participation in the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, APA reports citing MFA.
The sides discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union (EU), as well as strategic energy partnerships.
The parties stressed the importance of concluding negotiations on a new agreement that will form the legal basis of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union.
At the same time, the situation in Ukraine and the provision of humanitarian aid to the country were discussed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov gave information on the latest situation in the region, the settlement of trilateral statements, the restoration and reconstruction work in the region, as well as Azerbaijan's views on the normalization of relations between the two countries.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
