A telephone conversation has been held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried, press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views has been conducted about current situation and perspectives of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as various issues of the cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and the United States.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has brought the current situation in the region, different directions of normalization process of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Azerbaijan's known position and suggestion in the direction of start of work on future peace agreement, as well as steps taken by the Azerbaijani side to the attention of the opposite side.

"Had a phone conversation with Assistant Secretary Karen Donfried on the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and perspectives of peace efforts. Once again reiterated my country’s commitment and full readiness to achieve peace and stability in our region," noted Azerbaijani FM.
