Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov has commented on the recent events on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, APA
The minister told journalists that the only way to avoid tensions at the borders is to start the delimitation process.
Mr. Bayramov said that Armenia has not allowed it under various pretexts.
"Despite the constructive talks initiated by the Azerbaijani state, we do not observe it from the other side. Unfortunately, from time to time provocations by Armenia occur on the border. These are very unpleasant situations. People die as a result of these provocations. Armenia must understand that by resorting to such provocations. It will not achieve anything. It will have very serious and painful consequences. We believe that Armenia must stop these actions," said Minister.
The minister also said that Armenia is intensifying its provocations, which are usually announced before the talks and dates.
He noted that this is not a coincidence: "These are examples of Armenia's political leadership not completely abandoning its policy of provocation."
