Azerbaijani Deputy FM informed Russian counterpart about Armenia's provocations against Trilateral Declaration

On August 25, 2023, Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Galuzin as a part of his visit to Russia, Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

In the meeting, current issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed.

It was noted that Azerbaijan and Russia have mutually beneficial cooperation relations within bilateral and multilateral platforms. The sides hailed the level of political dialogue and cooperation in various fields, including economic, trade, cultural, and humanitarian ones between the two countries. In this regard, the necessity to use the existing potential in the direction of further expansion of relations was emphasized.

Deputy Minister Elnur Mammadov also informed the other side of the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period, the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, works carried out in the direction of advancing the peace agenda, military-political provocations of the Armenian side which undermine these efforts and are against international law and the Trilateral Declaration dated November 10, 2020.

At the meeting, views were also exchanged on other matters of mutual interest.
