Azerbaijani and Uzbek Foreign Ministers meet in Samarkand

On October 30, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, as part of his working visit to Samarkand, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov extended his congratulations to Uzbekistan for hosting the UNESCO General Conference for the first time.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the dynamic development of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations at the level of strategic alliance, and joint efforts to further strengthen the friendship and brotherhood between the two countries were discussed.

Joint activities and projects aimed at further expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transport, energy, culture, and humanitarian affairs were reviewed.

During the meeting, the importance of mutual support and cooperation within international and regional organizations — including the United Nations (UN), the Organization of Turkic States, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as within regional platforms — was emphasized.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional developments and other issues of mutual interest.
