On November 14, 2022, a phone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said the Press Office of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA reports.
The ministers discussed current bilateral agenda issues as well as the regional situation.
The sides emphasized that it is necessary to resolve the recent situation in bilateral relations, concerns about public rhetoric, and other existing issues via mutual dialogue and understanding. In this regard, it was suggested that it would be useful to establish contact between the press secretaries of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs.
During the phone conversation, the ministers exchanged views other on other issues of mutual interest and stressed the importance of continuing contact.
