"The status of Turkic descent is only granted to national minorities living in other countries, said Rashad Mammadov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Türkiye, in response to a query from APA 's Türkiye Bureau.
The ambassador said that Türkiye will give this chance to people who cannot work as national minorities in non-Turkish states or whose rights are violated.
According to Rashad Mammadov, people who have the right to live and work in the Turkish state of which they are citizens still remain in the status of "foreigners" in Türkiye.
