Today, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu and Counselors of the Embassy Ismayil Asadov and Agshin Aliyev visited the Embassy of the Republic of Turkiye in the Russian Federation, APA reports citing the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia.

Polad Bulbuloglu expressed his condolences to the people of Turkiye following the powerful quake that occurred on February 6 of this year and wished recovery to the injured. The ambassador stressed that, on the orders of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, all necessary aid was dispatched to the earthquake region and the people there from the beginning of the disaster, and that this aid continues to this day. The people of Azerbaijan are mobilizing and doing everything they can to help the earthquake-affected areas and the people who live there.

Azerbaijanis living in Russia also showed solidarity by providing humanitarian and financial aid to Turkiye. Employees from our embassy also joined in this charitable mission.

Turkish Ambassador to Russia Mehmet Samsar expressed his deep gratitude to Ambassador Polad Bulbuloglu, the staff of the Embassy and every Azerbaijani for their support. On this difficult day, many Azerbaijanis came to the Turkish Embassy in Russia to show their support. This tragedy proved that the slogan of Azerbaijan's national leader, Heydar Aliyev, "One nation, two states," is reflected not only in words but also in deeds.
