Azerbaijan-Türkiye cooperation in the field of energy contributes to Europe's energy security, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan as he made a joint press conference with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov, APA's Istanbul correspondent reports.
The Turkish minister said that TANAP and BTQ are at the forefront in this context: "TANAP already plays a role in the main energy security of Europe. Most of the gas coming through TANAP goes to Europe. Next winter, there may still be a gas crisis in Europe. Because the Russian-Ukrainian war showed it once again. We are negotiating with Azerbaijan regarding the creation of additional gas volumes. Using our opportunities, our joint work with Azerbaijan continues. On the one hand, we will continue our efforts to support Europe's energy security by strengthening our own energy security."
